About Keith…

Keith Koo is a Fortune 100 technology executive turned investment banker and governance strategist. Over a thirty-year career he has operated at the intersection of technology, capital, and governance — and now helps boards, founders, and executive teams see clearly at that same intersection.

He built and ran operations inside Fortune 100 technology companies — Cisco Systems and Hewlett-Packard — and later at Intuit. He then served as a Managing Director at MUFG, one of the world’s five largest banks, where he led third-party and vendor-risk work and answered directly to federal banking regulators. He began his career at Wells Fargo, as part of the Wells Fargo / First Interstate merger team — the largest banking merger of its era. Across his career he has been involved in more than 100 mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures representing billions in deal value.

Today Keith is Vice President at US Capital, an international investment bank, and Founder and Managing Partner of Guardian Insight Group®, a strategic advisory firm focused on AI and governance, M&A, capital strategy, and risk. Because he is still doing the work — sourcing deals, running risk, reading the market in real time — the people who hire him and the audiences who hear him get a practitioner, not a pundit.

He is also the founder and host of Silicon Valley Insider®, his federally trademarked show on technology, markets, and capital, now in its ninth year — broadcast on two Bay Area AM stations, rated 4.9 stars on Apple Podcasts, and distributed in more than 130 countries. He hosts Ten Talents Media™, a show on faith, purpose, and stewardship in the marketplace. Across both platforms he has interviewed founders, investors, and operators throughout the innovation economy.

One idea runs through everything Keith does: wherever power exists without governance, corruption follows. Whether the subject is artificial intelligence, a vendor ecosystem, a balance sheet, or a leadership culture, he helps people find where power has outrun oversight — and gives them the frameworks to close the gap before it costs them.

Keith holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior from UC Davis, with professional certifications in project management, ITIL, asset management, and software licensing.
